Yoga and Tai Chi Deliver Measurable Results for Joint Pain

Systematic reviews and randomized trials consistently show that yoga, tai chi, and qigong improve pain, stiffness, and function in patients with joint conditions. These are not gentle substitutes - they produce effects comparable to traditional strengthening exercises, with additional benefits for mental health and quality of life.

Five Components for Joint Health

Each element targets a different dimension of joint pain management - mobility, strength, pain relief, stress reduction, and lasting behavior change.

Joint-Safe Gentle Movement

Gentle yoga, chair yoga, and functional movement modified for sensitive joints. Builds strength, flexibility, and range of motion without stress on vulnerable areas. Includes seated and standing options for all ability levels.

Tai Chi & Qigong

Evidence-based practices that improve balance, reduce falls risk, and decrease joint pain through slow, controlled movement. Our instructors include certified specialists with dedicated training in therapeutic tai chi and qigong.

Pain & Stiffness Relief

Targeted classes for specific problem areas - hands, knees, hips, shoulders, and back. The 'Joyful Joints' and 'Easy Does It' classes use functional range conditioning and mindful movement to relieve joint tension and muscle tightness.

Stress & Inflammation Management

Breathwork, meditation, and deep relaxation practices that reduce cortisol and inflammation markers. Stress amplifies joint pain - these evidence-based tools help patients break the pain-stress cycle.

Live Community & Accountability

Small-group live classes online with instructors who know participants by name. The social connection and accountability that keeps patients moving when motivation wanes - and helps them build sustainable habits.

Gentle movement practice

This program is a structured complement to standard orthopedic and rheumatology care. All classes are taught by certified instructors with experience in therapeutic populations. Participants continue their existing medications, physical therapy, and medical treatment while adding evidence-based movement and mindfulness support.

Flat-Fee Licensing, Not Per-Participant Billing

We price as program licenses, not per-head costs. Your organization gets unlimited participant access within the program, so you can scale enrollment without budget surprises.

Budget Certainty

One flat fee covers your entire program. No per-participant billing means you can enroll more patients without additional cost.

Lower Than Alternatives

Joint replacement costs $30,000-$50,000 per patient. Structured movement programs that delay or prevent surgery deliver enormous ROI at a fraction of the cost.

Volume Flexibility

Multi-program and multi-site licensing available. The more conditions you cover, the better the overall investment.

Help Your Patients Move Without Fear

Movement is one of the most effective non-pharmacological interventions for joint pain - but patients need expert guidance to start safely. Ompractice delivers certified tai chi and yoga instructors, live, via video. Let's discuss how it fits your orthopedic or rehabilitation program.
